PlanYourVote.org is an ongoing initiative of Vote.org and Frieze Magazine to empower artists to mobilize their communities and exercise of their voting rights.
VOTE.ORG X FRIEZE
PlanYourVote.org emerged as a pivotal collaborative arts initiative co-led by Vote.org and Frieze Magazine in 2020. With the participation of over 130 organizations and 70 artists nationwide, this initiative seamlessly melded creative expression with civic duty. Its primary goal was to mobilize artists to leverage their platforms and creative prowess to inspire their communities to participate in the electoral process and exercise their right to vote.
In the lead-up to 2022, Frieze and Vote.org expanded their collaboration, launching MAKE YOUR MARK—a contest platform to mobilize young creatives. As a fine artist myself, it was an honor to spearhead the collaboration with Frieze, advocating for the next generation of artists to leave an indelible imprint on our civic landscape. Guided by the belief that every brushstroke holds the potential to shape our collective future, I led the charge in presenting the vision to the Frieze team on behalf of Vote.org. Together, we entrusted the paintbrush to a burgeoning cohort of first-time voters, students, and future visionaries, empowering them to make their mark on the canvas of democracy.
