THE TALK DOCUMENTARY + TOOLKIT

In 2019, my proposal was selected as a recipient of a Projects for Peace grant. This project aims to explore the broken landscape of sex education across America, the far-reaching repercussions of this failed system, and how comprehensive sex education can bring about transformation. During a memorable summer, I drove cross-country in my mom's car to film and develop The Talk. This project is available upon request. The relationships we built with national organizations, sex educators, schools, teachers, young activists, and public officials have contributed to creating a national reckoning about this issue. Now, more than ever, it's time for The Talk.

FACE IT!

As of January 2020 the Chicago Police Department has joined over 600+ known agencies across the country that deploy Clearview AI, an app that scrapes images across social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to sell to law enforcement agencies as a proprietary policing product.

FACE IT! is a multimedia investigation that utilizes desktop documentary to (un)cover developments between the US government and its (un)disclosed use of Clearview AI. With a databank of over three billion headshots—and fifty million more added each day—this branded technology implicates us all by design, exploiting the social media Terms & Conditions we've already agreed to, capitalizing on a veil of advanced public safety.

An increasing amount of anti-abortion legislation are being triggered across the country. Many of these bills—fetal heartbeat bills, abortion bans, initiating death penalty as punishment—are designed not to be implemented, but to push the Supreme Court to reverse the decision in Roe V. Wade.

This series, titled The Walk, shares the stories of clinic escorts, volunteers who help community members access reproductive choice providers. Through phone interviews, The Walk is a series of short films that documents volunteers who put themselves at risk to protect the right to choose.
